Strategist, embodied leadership coach, and facilitator of intentional gatherings.

I’m on a mission to help purpose-driven leaders and organizations bravely claim their inner authority, so they can do their best and most impactful work.

The inspiration for my work lives deep at my roots.

I was raised by a family that challenged the status quo of who holds and wields power to shape the world. My father, a journalist covering politics, never shied away from asking the tough question, particularly of those in positions of disproportionate influence. My grandmother, a housewife raising five children, claimed gentle power as an unlikely poet using words to make meaning of her heart. My mother, a teacher to many and certainly to me, encouraged creativity, placing blank pages in front of me to imagine from as a child.

Growing up in Louisiana, so much time was spent in community over food–gathering over a big pot of something, with an open invitation for all to join. It wasn’t until I stepped outside of my home culture of parades, tailgates, and backyard parties that I came to see the magic of coming together over such rhythms and rituals. I realized that the right gatherings, with the right ingredients, could break down barriers, create connection, and illuminate a path forward.

With these examples in front of me, I stepped into the world with the belief that each of us holds wisdom and agency–no matter where we sit within a power structure–and that visions are stronger when created together.

Even with this knowing, my own leadership journey required me to repeatedly reclaim alignment with my inner authority. Throughout my career as a high-achieving “multi-hyphenate,” it was easy to get put in a box of what others saw in me. I often faced a tug-of-war between heart and head—taking steps towards deeply seeded desires, only to be pulled back by the “shoulds” of stability, accolades, or what an organization needed from me. Even in highly fulfilling roles, I found myself piling on more responsibility and expectation as demands and complexity grew. I stretched and shape shifted myself to meet what was needed, often at the expense of my soul and stamina.

At an inflection point in my leadership, I faced a collision of challenges that tested my identity and beliefs as a high-achieving leader. While leading an organization through heart-wrenching change, I was also grappling with the sudden and mysterious unraveling of my body after an intense illness. Confronted with something I couldn’t problem solve or “action” my way out of (and I tried!), I chose to give away my power. I stopped trusting my own wisdom in favor of the prescribed mandates of “experts.” When I was most at risk of being “pulled” in a direction rather than choosing one myself, a long and winding arc of somatics, mindfulness, creative space, community, and returning to work I loved brought me back to my inner authority. Through this work, I found a new middle path for my leadership–one where relentless growth and forward motion at all costs were not the only way. In this middle path, ambition could co-exist with slowing down, inner clarity was listened to above external affirmation, and letting go was as viable a choice as persisting against all odds. This shift deeply influences how I show up as a leader and human today.

Before coaching and consulting, I served in leadership roles within growing and often newly launched organizations across the tech, philanthropy, management consulting, and nonprofit sectors. Career highlights include serving as founding executive director of the Bubble Foundation, launching inaugural philanthropic funds raising $138 million at ICONIQ, and leading performance for Flatiron School’s largest market. I derive my pattern finding skills from my time as a strategy consultant (Deloitte and Teach For America) and my love of language from my liberal arts education. I bring people together from spaces of connection after decades as a gathering super host, honed following in the footsteps of my grandmother who invited everyone into her kitchen. I am trained by Co-Active Training Institute (a leadership coaching program) and bring a personal study of mindfulness and embodiment to my work. My heart is forever shaped by my Louisiana roots.
